Tolkien Text Anthology 2 Extended Edition

Brief summary: a compilation of all known texts by JRRT plus loads of stuff about him and his world. An .iso file (~980 MB) and several .pdf’s (~80 MB).

Wide summary: this is a disc compiled by people from completejrrt.tv, which is dead now – thanks to Tolkien Estate. Disc consists of eight chapters (there’s a full-text search engine):
1.	Legendarium – all his published books: ‘The Hobbit’, ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘The Silmarillion’, ‘Unfinished Tales’, ‘History of Middle-Earth’ 1-12, ‘Children of Hurin’, and several minor works, including the latest ‘The History of Hobbit’.
2.	Old English Tales – books and articles by JRRT on English tales, such as ‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’, ‘Beowulf and the Critics’, ‘Tree and Leaf’ and so on. Some texts reach so far as 1910, when Professor was only a student.
3.	Children’s Tales – ‘Roverandom’, ‘Mr. Bliss’, ‘Smith of Wooton Major’ and others, including rare poems.
4.	Linguistic Works – besides ‘Old English Exodus’, this section is entirely about elfish languages (mostly written not by Tolkien himself, but by scholars of these languages). Includes ‘Parma Eldalamberon’ 11-17.
5.	Images – illustrations by JRRT and ‘The Tolkien Family Album’.
6.	Biographies and letters – obviously, there are his letters, biographies, ‘The Inklings’ and so on.
7.	Sounds – he reads extracts from his works plus there’s an BBC half-hour interview.
8.	Tolkieniana: the biggest section. There are scholar works on JRRT’s impact on culture, on relations of ‘Lord of the Rings’ with Christianity, atlases of Arda, guides and encyclopedias plus a large number of fan journals like ‘Mythlore’ (not complete compilation) and ‘Vinyar Tengwar’ (complete compilation, 1-49) and others.

Apart from the disc I added a compilation of ‘Mallorn’ journal, which is not present in TTA2EE plus ‘Parma Eldalamberon’#14 and ‘Tolkien Studies’#5, all in pdf.
The structure of the disc is arranged so texts are present as .html files and sometimes as .jpg files put in a several level folder structure.

I’m not inclined to describe all the material in the disc mainly because I’m no native speaker and I realize my English is awful. There’s a release of TTA1 on Demonoid, I guess (google told me so), but it’s a stupid site with invitation system, so screw them. TTA2EE is better than TTA1, anyway.

I’m asking beforehand: someone who’s gonna download such a big release (in terms of text releases, I mean), is probably a devout Tolkien fan, right? So my plea is: seed, please. My upload speed is kinda poor – 60 KB/s tops, so I cannot possibly provide all lechers with the speed they would like to have. If this release will have at least ten seeders then new lechers will have a humane speed – but I’m not a wizard and I can’t give you 500 KB/s all by myself. So seed, please.

PS. I hope you know how to mount .iso discs.

UPDATE 25.06.09: 'Tolkien Studies #6' is here:

I sincerely thank all of you seeders for helping. You are great guys and true fans.
I'll try my best and release a pack with different illustrations of Tolkien's books by various artists as soon as I can - next week, I think.
Thank you for a great torrent, much appreciated!
Many thanks for this! I was wondering 'where' you would show up. ;)
Halion, you're sure you know me? Maybe you took me for someone else? )
There will be more texts and illustrations which I've promised - by the end of August, I guess. Probably the last week.
EradanIngolemo: Well, I remember your web site. :)
Can't say nothing but thanks to anyone who's still seeding:O
Anybody know if there is an updated version of this torrent in the works? There are a number of texts that have become available that could be added to this awesome resource! Would love to see the TTA3 someday soon. :)
